Wodociągi Miasta Krakowa S.A. (WMK S.A., Kraków Water) pays particular attention to ensuring the appropriate protection of personal data in accordance with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (hereinafter the “GDPR”); In particular, WMK S.A. applies appropriate technical and organizational measures and ensures the exercise of data subjects’ rights. What data do we process?

We process the data you provide or leave when you browse WMK S.A. web pages (e.g. in contact or booking forms) or which we may access during your visits, including data you share in your history of browsing websites and applications, and data that are stored in cookies. In particular, these may be data such as the IP address of the device you are using to browse WMK S.A. web pages, the type of browser or the operating system used.

What are the purposes of, and legal bases for processing your personal data and how long will they be processed?

Your data are processed for the following purposes and on the legal bases set out below:

  1. To enable the use of forms (contact and registration), to measure and analyse network traffic on WMK S.A. web pages, to adjust the appearance of the web page to the user’s browser, to enable the user to smoothly navigate WMK S.A. web pages, to use online tools provided on  WMK S.A. web pages (in particular, applications forming part of the Integrated Designer Calculator), and to use the online eBOK (customer service) application without having to log in every time. These purposes constitute legitimate interests exercised by WMK S.A. Personal data shall be processed until an objection is raised, which  obligates WMK S.A. to discontinue data processing or, in some cases, until the user independently changes browser settings.
  2. To enable you to use the eBOK online (customer service) application on the basis of your consent given during the registration process and on the basis of your voluntary consent to the use of cookies during your visit to WMK S.A. web pages, if the consent is given. The data will be processed until you withdraw your consent.
  3. To “remember” the settings selected by the user, to collect information on how users use web pages based on the legitimate interest of WMK S.A., and to calculate statistics on the use of web pages based on voluntary consent to the use of statistical cookies, if the consent is granted. The data will be processed for statistical purposes until you withdraw your consent.

Is providing data obligatory?

The provision of personal data is voluntary, but, in some cases, if you do not provide your data (including information collected by cookies marked as essential), you will not be able to smoothly navigate through WMK S.A. web pages or use online applications or forms.

User rights

In connection with the processing of personal data on WMK S.A. web pages, you have the following rights:

  • in situations defined by law, the right to have your personal data erased (“the right to be forgotten”), to transfer your personal data to another controller and to restrict the processing of your personal data;

  • the right to object to the processing of personal data if data are processed on the basis of a legitimate interest;

  • the right to withdraw consent if personal data are processed on the basis of a consent granted, whereas withdrawing the consent shall not affect the legal compliance of the processing carried out before this withdrawal.

Who are your data provided to?

While the user browses web pages, WMK S.A. may automatically collect data about the user, such as the IP address, browser type or operating system used by the user. This data may be collected using cookies.
Cookies should be understood as IT data, in particular text files, that are saved on users’ terminal devices when users browse web pages. Cookies are used, among others, to improve the quality of services provided through web pages and to store user settings and preferences.
WMK S.A. web pages collect and store, for the duration of the session or for one year, information about the end user, including their IP address (needed for communication) or user preference settings, which is saved in necessary cookies, and collect information supporting the identification of the user’s device, downloaded by Google to conduct statistical measurements, which information is collected by static cookies, provided that the user has consented. Google saves special codes on your terminal devices to collect data that we use to calculate statistics and optimise our services. WMK S.A. itself cannot block the operation of these technologies. However, the user may, at any time, oppose the collection of data by Google software by changing the settings of their web browser (by blocking the default saving of cookies) and withdrawing consent to the use of statistical cookies by opening the cookies window on any WMK S.A. web page.
The https://ebok.wodociagi.krakow.pl domain collects, stores, and provides information about users who log into the online eBOK (customer service) application, such as:

  • user name;
  • IP;
  • login date/time;
  • session id.

WMK S.A. web pages use the following types of cookies: 

  • essential - cookies supporting the use of services available on the website, e.g. authentication cookies used for services requiring authentication within the website, most of which are stored on the user’s device for the duration of the session and only some of them for one year;

  • statistical - used to calculate statistics on the use of web pages, stored on the user’s device for one year, provided that the user has consented.

XSRF-TOKEN A file controlling the ability to log into the system, preventing unauthorized logging into the system and protecting against CSRF (Cross-Site Request Forgery) attacks. Stored for the duration of the session.
cookiepolicyinfo_new A file used to display messages about the use of cookies. Stored for one year.
laravel_session This file stores the session ID of a logged-in user. This file allows the user to use system functions after logging in. The expiry of this file causes a log-out of the system. Stored for the duration of the session.
front_front2_lang This file controls the display of the correct language version of the website. Stored for one year.
ASP.NET_SessionId This file is responsible for the session ID https://ebok.wodociagi.krakow.pl.
.ACCB_PROD.Auth

An authentication ticket (created on the server side when the user logs into eBOK and deleted after the user logs out). An authentication ticket is the standard way to store information that a user is logged in.
The standard Microsoft System.Web.dll library (namespace System.Web.Security) is used.

Statistical cookies
_ga Collects statistics about the website use without data allowing individual users to be identified. Stored for two years.

How to withdraw consents to the use of statistical cookies and block the operation of cookies?

  1. To withdraw your consent to the saving of cookies by WMK S.A. websites select “Cookie settings” shown in the footer on each page. The message “Your privacy settings” will be displayed, which allows you to select cookies again and give your consent. To consent, select cookies and then click “SAVE SETTINGS”. If you select no cookies and confirm with the “SAVE SETTINGS” button, this means you do not grant any consent.
  2. In addition, to completely prevent your browser from saving user information in cookies, you should delete cookies from your browser history and block the option of saving cookies in the settings of your browser.
