Since 2007, as the Vice President of Małopolska Agencja Rozwoju Regionalnego S.A., he was responsible for spending European funds for entrepreneurs of Małopolska Province, obtaining nearly PLN 1 billion support from the Innovative Economy Operational Programme. He co-founded and then supervised the activities of the Business in Małopolska Centre, coordinating work related to the economic promotion of the Małopolska Province. In June 2014, he became the Director of the Kraków branch of the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS), where he undertook and implemented measures to improve the quality and effectiveness of service for over a million customers. In February 2015, he was appointed a Deputy Head of Małopolska Province. From January 2016 to December 2018 he was the Secretary of the Małopolska Province, coordinating the work of individual departments of the Marshal’s Office.  He co-created and supervised the programmes implemented by the Małopolska Province, including project related to air quality “Air purifiers – in every preschool and nursery in Małopolska”. He has been with Kraków Water since 2017 as a member of the Supervisory Board of the Company.
 
Wojciech Szczepanik graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University. An attorney-at-law, local government official, worked in law firms. He also gave free legal advice within NGOs. During his professional career he systematically supplemented his knowledge with specialist courses, trainings and workshops in the field of public procurement, acquisition of European funds and management. He has the right to sit on Supervisory Boards.
 
His professional interests include the opportunities of absorption of EU funds and aspects of the legal environment of the public economy, with particular emphasis on contracting regulations.
