He started his professional career in the 1990s, working for the Podhale waterworks and the Association of Communes of Upper Raba Catchment and Kraków, where he held the position of the Manager of the Investment Department and was responsible for implementing a program, worth more than PLN 500 million, to protect the primary source of potable water for a million residents of Kraków and neighbouring communes.
Associated with Kraków Water since 1999. Started working for the Company as the Manager of the Procurement and Contracts Department, and then gained experience holding positions including: Deputy Director for Investments and European Funds, President’s Representative for Procurement and Investment Project Preparation, and the Technical Director. In 2004, the Management Board of Kraków Water decided to appoint Paweł Senderek an independent proxy, a function he fulfilled until he was appointed (as a result of winning a competition in 2017) Vice-President of the Management Board.
Paweł Senderek graduated from the Faculty of Environmental Engineering at the Kraków University of Technology. He also completed the following postgraduate courses: Water supply and sewage disposal at the Kraków University of Technology, as well as Information security management, Contemporary concepts of enterprise management and Methods and techniques of process management at the Kraków University of Economics.
In almost thirty years of professional work, he gained and consolidated knowledge and experience in the operation of commercial code companies, enterprise management, as well as relations between the company and its market environment. He also has practical skills in planning and executing investment projects, technological process organisation, negotiations and resolving commercial disputes. He has represented Kraków Water multiple times in arbitration and mediation proceedings, including before the Court of Arbitration of the Polish Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw. He was involved in the effective sourcing of EU funds and funds from other external sources. He has been qualified and acted as the Measure Authorizing Officer multiple times.
In 2021, Paweł Senderek received the Honoris Gratia award from the Mayor of the City of Kraków for his outstanding contribution to the city and its residents, and in February 2023, the Drohobych City Council decided to honour him with a special medal for charity and supporting the residents of this city. He is a member of the Society of Kraków History and Heritage Enthusiasts founded in 1896.
