Started his professional career in 1990 as a researcher and lecturer at the Department of Operations Research at the Krakow University of Economics. In 1996-1997, a Credit Risk Assessment Analyst at Big Bank SA Subsequently accepted the position of the Financial Director at Agencja Rozwoju Miasta S.A. (a Development Agency), and then the position of the Vice-President of its Management Board, which he held until 2002. In the following years, sat on the management boards of companies such as: Miejski Zakład Torów Sieci i Podstacji Trakcyjnych Sp. z o.o. (track and substations) (2001), LIPSKA Housing Cooperative in bankruptcy (2003-2014), International Management Services Sp. z o.o. (2002-2022), DAGNUS Sp. z o.o., previously Euro Innopark Sp. z o.o. (2011-2017).

In addition, in 1999-2022, Mariusz Szubra sat on the supervisory boards of companies such as: ZUE S.A. (since 2017, also the Chairman of the Audit Committee of ZUE S.A.), Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyki Cieplnej S.A. (Heating), Zakład Usług Technicznych MPWiK Sp. z o.o. (Water) (in liquidation since September 1, 2014), Jałowcowa Góra Sp. z o.o., Polska Agencja Prasowa S.A. (press agency), Zakład Komunikacji Miejskiej Sp. z o.o. in Gdańsk (public transport), Miejski Klub Sportowy CRACOVIA S.A. (sports), Miejski Zakład Torów, Sieci i Podstacji Trakcyjnych Sp. z o.o. (track and traction network), Zajezdnia Św. Wawrzyńca Sp. z o.o.

Associated with Kraków Water since 2009. He started work at the Company as the Deputy Director for Economics and Finance, in 2011-2019 was the Management Board Representative for Financial Modelling, then the Financial Control Director. Assumed the position of Member of the Management Board on June 4, 2022.

Mariusz Szubra graduated from the Krakow Academy (now University) of Economics. In 2007, he completed the course "Project Management – modern management knowledge”, obtaining a Project Management Practitioner certificate from IPMA (International Project Management Association). Licensed to serve on Supervisory Boards.

In over thirty years of professional work, has acquired and consolidated knowledge and experience in the operation of commercial code companies, management, and financial control processes. He systematically expanded his knowledge at specialized courses and training on, among others, strategic planning, management accounting, budgeting and cost centre management, drawing up tariff applications, principles of financing technical infrastructure construction, new methods and sources of financing for the public sector, valuation of companies and groups.
